Very thankful to have access to healthcare here. They’ve helped me so much over the years and I can say that pretty much every staff member I’ve encountered has been kind and caring!
Dr. Sumner took my gallbladder out. He explained everything that I wanted to know. It was my first surgery ever…the nurses were helpful and if I ever need another surgery I’d like to go back Update: the nurses were terrific!! The outpatient check in clerks are not friendly unless you’re white. I’d just like to tell anyone working for my tribe DO NOT WORK FOR MY PEOPLE IF YOU DON’T LIKE MY PEOPLE. Thank you! Yakoke! Mvto!

Halito, Firstly,I was injured in a work accident in proximity of the Choctaw Nation Health Center. At the time I was a member of the tribe being born outside of the reservation to native parents. The staff in the newly constructed health center were very helpful and polite. Nonetheless, the person who I saw was very short with me. Secondly, I filled a complaint with administration following my initial visit. I have since relocated to Durant, and have become a citizen of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.
