My son has Hand Foot and mouth & both ears are infected. im so pissed cuz when i took him to CHKD Urgent Care lastnight, they told me he would be absolutely fine with some Tylenol. CHKD Urgent Care at Volvo Parkway do better. I have gotten 30 mins of sleep in two days and my son cant sleep cuz hes in so much pain. Smh They were rushing to get home to their families but we are trusting them to take care of ours. & Shame on tidewater childrens associates who i stayed on hold with to get an appointment for 40 mins and was hung ... read more
We over heard after sitting next to this gentleman and his son that he brought him in b/c "he has bumps and there was an outbreak of HFM at daycare." Vividly concerned that this was not identified with inbound and patient was put in a quarantine/contagious room to limit spread. Especially something as contagious as HFM in a child's clinic.
We have been using this facility for years, but I think yesterday’s visit will be our last. We have had good experiences and not so great experiences but I think yesterday’s visit will be the last. I won’t provide personal information but as a nurse and parent, I no longer feel that this company has the child’s best interest at heart. After being there for more than an hour and being called back, we were told that they were unable to do the testing that my child needed and recommended we go to another facility. Got there at a little after 10, was seen within 20 minutes. Amazing care from all staff. Highly recommend.
Don't get x-rays here. They send them to a third party to be viewed. They sent mine to an out of network company that cost near $80.00. So sad for the working man
