I was told by his staff prior to seeing the doctor that he would be able to offer treatments to prevent or reduce the risk of retinal detachment from occurring post-cataract surgery. Not true. Paid a small fortune for a consultation that went nowhere. His only advice was to not have the cataract surgery on my right eye and to instead wear a contact lens. Really?? The doctor also leaves his door open and speaks in a really loud voice so that EVERYONE in the waiting room can listen in. So much for respecting patient privacy. W... read more
Dr. Chiu did the cataract replacement operation on both of my eyes. Now I have 20-20 vision and see the world crystal clear. He is a casual and cheerful person and he even remembers my hobby. Highly recommand him.
Daniel is a great Doctor. He’s helped me out a couple of times now. Once with a detached retina and more recently with a dislodged intraocular lens. He’s one of the few Doctors I have met that is happy to contact you outside of traditional “office hours”, is competent at what he does and has a terrific “bedside” manner. I really appreciate him looking after me. The only criticism I have is that be prepared to spend a LOT of time in his waiting room at times for pre or post op appointments. Very pleased with replacement of cataract, replacement of vitreous fluid and repair to damaged retina tear. Excellent information, explanation , skill and manner. Going back soon for second eye. Was very apprehensive but result much better than ever hoped for 99.9% Perfect(I am a fastidious photographer!)
