Having been to many drs. Dr. Chismark has a wonderful bedside manner, is incredibly knowledgeable in his area and works with other drs to find answers. Although I am a complicated case he continues to work towards finding relief!
Dr Chismark quickly found a diagnosis that multiple other providers missed over the course of more than 10 years. Within that time, I’d been suspicious that I had internal hemorrhoids that were causing profuse rectal bleeding. If you unfortunately need a colorectal surgeon and all the embarrassing pre-exams that go with it, I would definitely recommend Dr. Chismark. He is always very professional and explains everything thoroughly and answers questions before I even think to ask. My surgery went great and I have had comments from other doctors who know what I've been through like "oh yeah - he's a great surgeon".
I have been going to Dr Chismark for 4 years. I have the great respect for someone who does not push for the OR. Options if there is one he explains it. I highly recommend him.
Dr Chismark is the most professional, compassionate doctor! He is in a specialty area with very embarrassing exams and he makes you feel unbelievably comfortable and reassured that he is professional. He also missed something my first exam and instead of brushing over or making an excuse (which he did have...I had something masking something else), he apologized profusely and was very humble. I would recommend him to anyone!
Dr. Chismark saved my life. I was airlifted to Albany Medical Center with a million to one odds of survival. Without Dr. Chismark I would not be here today.
