My mother is 89 yo with severe GI or Problems. She has seen Parekh off and on for over 20 years. We have tried to see him since March and they keep cancelling her appointments. They called today to push her back to September. I called to ask why and was rudely told to find a new GI Dr.
He's busy because he knows what he's talking about, and has a team of people who are just as helpful and knowledgeable (at least they have been as far as helping me manage my Crohn's disease I've had 20+ years). I've had my fair share of gastroenterologists and he's had one of the better "bedside manners" imo.
I never even had a chance to see this provider but based on my initial experience just trying to get an appointment I probably dodged a bullet.
This "doctor" is not good. He'd sooner let you die then schedule you in when you had an emergency. If we would have listen to this guy my wife would have died. We found another doctor who found an abscess and this doctor said she was fine and needed probiotics. 3 serious surgeries later and she has been saved.
