Gene For many years, our family ate regularly at Chin's in Escondido. I suppose our annual expenditure at Chin's was around $1,000. Over the years we noticed a gradual decline in food quality and service, but we continued to patronize our favorite restaurant. Good Place The food is good - but lately been thinking it is kind of greasy. Reasonable prices and a dim sorta romantic atmosphere. We did have a problem once with the check, they miscalculated and argued up a storm with us and then they finally found out they were wrong and quickly were like ok. no apologies, but they complied.

Good The atomosphere is nice and it is a clean place but the food hasn't been the greatest lately. Service is spotty some times too. It's a good place to go before a movie.

Good value The food here is good and not too expensive. The staff is friendly and always there to attend to your needs. There is hardly ever a wait to get a table.

Good Vegetarian options Seriously - battered sweet and sour mushroom caps - they're actually called spicy honey mushrooms - are delicious. I have never seen or had anything like it and I always make sure I order it when we go. Lots of vegetarian options that aren't just steamed mixed veggies. Yuk.

Ordered the Cashew Chicken plate (take out) and later got food poisoning. DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1) The waiter poured my beer into a glass and one of the party stopped me from drinking because she saw lipstick on the lip of the glass. That was correced. 2) My water glass also had lip smudges on the edge. 3) I asked the waiter if I could split my plate with half fried rice and half soft noodles. Both are offered at $7.99 a plate. So I'd have a full plate with two items.
