Great if youre a professional, awful if youre an amateur. I live in Snoqualmie, and do a lot of amateur DIY. On two occasions I've gone to Chinook for lumber, and had a couple of (possibly dumb) questions. Both times, despite an empty store, the team have made it very clear that my questions made them impatient and annoyed. I'd rather drive to issaquah Lowes, pay more, pick and pack my own lumber, and talk to friendly assistant, than be shamed for having questions.
Gotta love small town service! The guys and gals at Chinook will always give you better service than what you'll get at the big box stores...you won't have to hunt the whole store for a staff member to find answers because they'll be smiling and ready for your question the moment you enter the door. Thank you North Bend Chinook! You always make my day.
I only shop where I live. Chinook Lumber has what you need with knowledgeable employees that will help even the DYI home project practitioners. They have tools and hardware. It's not a Halloween store, nursery, or clothing outlet. It is a great local lumber store.
