Wonderful Authentic Chinese Food in Tampa China Yuan recently remodeled the place and it is a big improvement! It's at least twice as large with a much needed updated decor. The food even taste better! It's the best place that I've found for roast duck and bbq pork. Also, their dim sum is wonderful. The egg tarts and long noodle dishes are wonderful. They have an extensive selection so go take a look! Also of note, this place serves authentic Cantonese cuisine, so don't expect any chop suey here.
The Real Deal Hands down, the best Chinese food in Tampa Bay. You'll think you've been transported to NY's Chinatown. Hanging barbeque ducks, fresh roast pork, heavenly dumplings, and fresh seafood (yep, they get it out right in front of you with a net). Do yourself a favor and skip the Americanized buffets in town - you won't find more aunthentic (or tasty!) Chinese anywhere. We've been three times, and each time we were one of only two tables not inhabited by local Asians - which is a pretty good indication of the quality.... read more
Great It took me 2 years to get here and am grateful I did. I had heard of China Yuan through a coworker who said this was her family's restaurant. Initially was told it was a hole in the wall establishment but after going there this weekend, it was greatly revamped. The menu was extensive and at first I had no idea what to get because it was not like your regular americanized Chinese food menu. I settled for the Sauteed Sliced Beef with vegetables and rice($6.99). it was so delicious.. I had no qualms with it. We also order... read more
Great Chinese Great chinese food. Its tough to find good chinese in the U.S. unless you are in NYC. It took me years to find any place that makes fried rice like it should be made. Outside of Chinatown, this place is tough to beat.
