Convenient take out Chinese food Weâve been getting take-out from China Star for many years now. The food is fresh and pretty authentic. The restaurant recently added Pho (Vietnamese noodle soup) to their menu and is quite delicious. This is a good place to pick up Chinese food on a busy school night. For the amount of food that you get, the prices are very reasonable. We really like the chow mein noodles. Do avoid lunch time during the week when itâs packed with CSULB students.

I used to go to this place between classes at CSULB. The teriyaki chicken is okay, but for $4 or whatever for the bowl meal, not bad. Choice of rice of chow mein and one entree. I have still been meaning to try their pho as it looks like the best thing on the menu. Their kung pao chicken is waaaay too spicy for my American tongue though. Staff is always nice though, food is fresh everytime. It's good for the price
