China Lake in Somerset I love China Lake. We're been going there for years and alot the the waitresses know us by name. The food is really good and the prices are pretty reasonable too. I'll be going here for years to come.
Disgusting My husband and I just moved to Somerset from Boston and are desperately seeking decent food without having to drive the 30 minutes to Providence. China Lake is NOT REAL ASIAN. I ordered sesame chicken and got fried chicken fingers smothered in gravy and canned mushrooms. Vile.
China Lake; Loved It Visited in late Sept. 2008 and was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant and restrooms were very clean. The waitress and staff were very friendly. The portions were abundant and even took some home. We were referred to the restaurant for they serve meals for people who must eat gluten free (celiac sprue). We recently (late Oct. 2008) ordered take out and the temp., portion and taste were consistent with our dine in meal. Pricing was average with others in the area. superb Absolutely excellent food. Great service and reasonable prices. I highly recommend it. I have been eating here for years and will continue to. They have a wide variety of high quality foods that are perfectly cooked every time. If you are looking for a good Chinese restaurant this is your place.
The best Gluten Free Chinese Food around. Our support group member found this place and asked the owner if he would put a couple of "GF" on the menu. As of now, they have about 20 items to choose from. My family and I have been eating here since late spring. We live in Warwick R.I. and this has been worth the time to come and experience what Chinese food used to taste like. My 2 adult children have Celiac's as well, my wife does not. It makes me happy to us all go out to eat and get a wide variety of choices for us all.The o... read more
