Love the dinner! This is another mom and pops restaurant. The location itself is sort of a hole in the wall, located next to another bigger prosperous Chinese restaurant that overshadows it. However if you make the trek in you will be happy.
I found there food burnt and poorly prepared. My neighbor found the quality very poor also. Nothing good about this place! Needs new owners and cooks.
Good Price Performance for downtown Palo Alto – This is one of the least expensive Chinese restauratns to grab a bite in downtown Palo Alto. It was a pleasant find - they have lunch specials and the food is quite tasty. The chow fun is yummy, as are the soup noodles. The oyster sauce asparagus was surprisingly good. Service can be a bit slow especially during busy lunch hour.
Best priced lunch in town If you want to go for a Chinese lunch, China Delight's lunch menu offers the cheapest dish in town: under $5. Both food portion and service are good. Our favorite picks are green beans with chicken/ beef, beef chow-fun, and the shrimp dishes are great!
Killer Hot & Sour Soup I'm one of those people who, at times, falls back on comfort foods, and my favorite comfort food is hot and sour soup. It was China Delight's hot and sour that first won my heart, and theirs is definitely the best in Palo Alto. It's also vegetarian, much to my delight. Other dishes are also good. Their veggie mushu is delicious, and their spring rolls are always a good little treat. Nice atmosphere, and you can always get a table. Prices are very reasonable.
Low cost chinese food This small chinese restaurant in Palo Alto have a very good menu. The food is really good, and the price is surprisingly low for the location. The place is nice, it isn't fancy, but doesn't have a cheap look, either. Although i reccomend it for take out. Jus't make sure to make a clear order, I never got my spring rolls, last time i went.
