Love China Cottage! Absolutely the best Chinese restaurant in Nashville! The crab rangoon is by far the best we've ever eaten. Friendly service, wonderful atmosphere and great food.
Visited today for the first time..will definately be back.. Had the Eggplant Hot Pot...yummy!! All veggies very fresh...wonderful flavor on the tofu.. Ask for something spicy if it is not indicated as such on the menu..they'll be happy to make it that way for you!

Great little treasure – My fiance and I were looking for a non-buffet Chinese restaurant and I found this on-line. It was amazing. Everthing was so fresh and the portions are large. China Cottage is Great! – Seriously excellent food. The moo shu pork is fantastic. Order the Peking Duck a day or 2 in advance and be blown away! Really, every dish I've had is very good. Try the Mongolian beef too!! There's just no Chinese food that I've found in Nashville that rivals this place. Try it.
Really good food, service and prices... – We moved to East Nashville a year or so ago and had not yet found a good Chinese restaurant, in our area. I decided to search online for somewhere that looked good. This place was only a few miles from our house and had several positive ratings (although, the last review was over a year ago). Cozy Diamond in the Rough – The restaurant is such a depature from typical Chinese eateries in the South. No buffet, authentic dishes (if that's your style) and a warm staff of servers await. The menu is a bit daunting but it clearly expresses to eat in courses. I usually order soup, an appetizer and then split an entree. The lo mein portions easily feed two. It's a hidden jewel in the culture-starved Rivergate area.
