Level of care was excellent by Dr.'s and practitioners. The negative review is specifically towards the practice's admin / billing department which I would characterize as highly deceptive. On multiple instances at our visit we were told "we owed a balance on our account"; the implication being that we needed to pay that amount today. The reality was we were under zero obligation to pay at that time. Unethical practice! I DO NOT recommend Lurie Children’s Surgical Foundation for any services. I received two separate bills months after my child’s outpatient visit - $157 for the hospital and $168 for the physician’s office. That is a total of $325 just for a basic follow-up checkup AFTER insurance coverage, no special treatment was performed whatsoever.
