The wait times are unreal. Close to 4 hrs wait and it doesn't seem busy.
We appreciate the location and overall ease of access in the children’s emergency department. We are fortunate to have a children’s specialty emergency department in St Paul. The emergency department is clean and staffed with caring, compassionate nurses and doctors.
we were sent directly to the ER by another hospital. we sat for 4 hours with our almost 5 year old before anyone even spoke to us. the waiting room was unkempt and dirty. no surprise all of us got very sick after leaving. this place just added more problems to our already filled plate. I cannot believe a childrens hospital of all places would be so unclean. go anywhere else.
My son has the most painful disease that exists, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. He is an established patient in Children's pain program upstairs. We spoke w/ the pain doc on call before coming in (like they told us to) and so that was all on file in his chart. He sat in the waiting room screaming for 2 full hours in 10/10 pain before getting a room and waited 2 more hours before someone gave him anything for pain. Not good place for emergency and the staff not welcoming. Sorry to say that they act not like emergency room but more like dr appointment. Will never take my children there for emergency or for help. Worst place every.
