We chose to go to this ER instead of others closer to our home because we, incorrectly, thought children’s hospital would be best for our 16 month old daughter. We told them upon checkin that she was dehydrated as she had been throwing up for over 72 hours hadn’t had a wet diaper in over 12 hours and also that the nurse line advised us to go to the ER. Tonight there is a 6 hour wait time and no designated quiet or separate waiting area for children on the autism spectrum who may become overwhelmed by noise, lights, and crowded environments. long waits in a busy and stimulating waiting room can quickly lead to sensory overload. This can result in distress for the child and can unintentionally disrupt the environment for other families. This hospital is amazing
Nicu nurse here at childrens named Samantha Jenkins is constantly on her phone and also is threatening me and saying hurtful things to my son and things about me . She should be caring for sweet babies and not on her phone constantly talking to her mother . Don’t believe me check the cameras this is concerning..
Our 21mo old had a febrile seizure yesterday. They took us to Children’s and the staff was really attentive. No complaints- this is an ER! Sometimes things take a while. It was maybe about 3 hours in total.
