Dont expect them to care about mental illness if you cant even visit your family with your SERVICE DOG for your mental illness... they denied me access to seeing my family member without the support of my service dog. If he was for diabetes then they would let him in but apparently Psychiatric Service Animals are not good enough for a mental health facility... Doesnt matter what service he provides (major depressive disorder for me personally which helps my anxiety and my stress especially when im IN A FACILITY that prings m... read more

My child is currently inpatient here. This facility will not let you speak to anyone without first going through the front desk (one person) the front desk will refuse to forward your calls to anyone else. They are currently refusing to allow me to speak to my child or to her care team even after I brought them the court custody order showing my right to medical input and unrestricted contact with my child. They refuse simply because the person who checked her in didn’t put me on the contact list. This hospital has policies ... read more

A nurse called me with an update about my daughter and forgot she called me. While I was on the phone she was bad mouthing my mentally ill child to another staff member and using very vulgar words. She realized I was on the phone and then said oh shit im sorry. After I asked for her supervisor she hung up on me. My child is there for help and to be helped by medical professionals not nurses who take their mental health lightly and talk bad about them. Ive been calling and asking for a supervisor and keep getting the run arou... read more

Nurses call for update on kids and talk disrespectfully when they think that you arent on the phone. This is a mental health facility and you are going to say a child with bi polar is crazy and talking bad about them. Unprofessional nurses from a call today 07/20/26

My child had a great experience at Camber. I loved that they had visiting areas, long visiting hours, and I was able to reach my child easily on the phone. The staff were nice, specifically the nurse Michelle, she was always very friendly. You can tell the staff care about the kids and that goes a long ways in these tough situations. My child is doing so much better after his stay. I’m so glad there’s a place like Camber out there!
