My son had same day surgery and the staff, childlife care, surgical team, and post op were absolutely wonderful! I am so grateful for how they made my son feel safe and prepared for a scary procedure. Afterwards, the staff were so kind and doting on him that it wasn’t scary to wake up from anesthesia. With how big the place was, the check in staff helped us locate where we needed to go by actually taking us there and talked to us with such kindness. We've been going here ever since our daughter was born. They were great! But our last visit was a visit from hell. We came in to our urologist appointment because our daughter is struggling with potty training. We got reported to CSP because of a DIAPER RASH! The most minor rash she has ever even had. Then as we were leaving that appointment every nurse was looking at us and treating us like we were the worst parents ever. 3 weeks later the CSP is trying to close it but apparently Children's Mercy doesn't want it closed beca... read more
Only come here for the emergency room. Staff and care was great. They have the MOST predatory billing department I've ever seen. Luckily for me, I'm an insurance billing coordinator and I know how to read invoices and tell when things are wrong. A claim for my daughter didn't process due to a coordination of benefits update being needed. Instead of calling me to inform me of this, they just sent me a bill for 3K.
