Nobody really wants to spend time at the hospital but they make it a better stay with all the things they have for Kids to do when they need to spend time here and all the nurses are sweet
Dr Goyal with the specialty EoE and allergy clinic has been so incredibly helpful. He takes phenomenal care of his patients and their families, and really takes time to answer questions and explain things fully.
Staff at C10, epilepsy monitoring unit were very helpful and pleasant. Most specifically our nurse, Erica! Childlife specialist, Nathan Lopez was outstanding. He went so far out of his way to find a specific Daniel Tiger toy for my child which was above and beyond. He was joyful, kind and patient. Thank you, Nathan for being a light in the darkness!
My child was scheduled for surgery here. It got moved 3 times. I was called with instructions AND emailed with instructions for me to come in and they say I wasn’t following instructions. Showed the email and everyone looking at each other stupid. The surgery coordinator was VERY last minute each time they switched it causing Medicaid to never be able to get us a ride and she knew we used it as transportation. It’s too much going on in here.
If your child has surgery, the physicians are mostly from UTSW and you can’t actually view that bill on the children’s MyChart. My bill says $0 due from children’s, but I got sent to collections from UTSW for my daughters surgery. They don’t actually speak to each other. Biggest pain in the butt. You’d think 2 gigantic organizations in Dallas who work together could communicate with each other and have it all on one website, but nope- they’d rather send me to collections.
