They are good doctors but the wait times are substantially long. Every time. Not one time. Every time the wait is 2 hours. Even when you do a save my spot. I been back in a room for a whole hour with my hyperactive kids with what I brought only lasts so long. On time of waiting in the waiting room. Something needs improvement with their time management.
I made an appointment for my child and checked in when I arrived. After waiting for two hours past the appointment time, we left without being seen. All I needed was a prescription for a recurring medical problem. Instead I had my entire evening wasted. I guess I should have expected this kind of treatment from UPMC.
I have multiple children, two of which have had fairly intense and life-long issues. I have been to UPMC Pediatrics in Blairsville and UPMC Children's Hospital. Both of those facilities were amazing. With the exception of a staff member here or there (because every place has a few) the overall experience at these places were phenomenal. I have come to the Children's Express care in Monroeville at least 5 or 6 times, and have questioned my decision Every time. Over the past week & a half, 2 of my children ended up at the pediatrician for an infection that required antibiotics. Unfortunately, Friday came and my youngest child ended up with the same symptoms so I made an appointment here for 8:15pm, which was the 1st available. We were not seen until 10:15pm!
