Our 8 year old child’s experience at Children’s Way Counseling with Colleen Meeks has been nothing short of life changing. This was our family’s first experience with therapy, and we have been extremely impressed. She has a calming presence with both children and adults. Our parent sessions offered us ways to continue to engage with and support our child as they navigate through anxious feelings. Our family will use the advice we’ve received from Ms. Meeks for the rest of our lives. We are so grateful!
Colleen has been a true godsend to our family. She has shown great respect for our child’s feelings and quickly built the trust that was so needed given our child’s abandonment issues. She is very transparent and keeps our family well informed while still honoring our child’s privacy. We are incredibly grateful for her care and support.
We did a lot of research and got recommendations from other adult counseling centers and Children's Way was recommended to us separately by two separate therapists. We talked to several children's therapists beforehand and this seemed the best fit for all of us. My child now has tools to more easily regulate emotions and the vocabulary to talk more openly about feelings. My child is able to work through and process things more easily and thoroughly.
