RecommendedMy daughter had difficulty removing a contact lens that had adhered to her cornea. Once it was finally out, her eye was red and moving it/blinking was very painful. Two hours later it was still bothering her, so I contacted Dr. Romsdahl directly as the clinic was closed. He was concerned she might have a lesion/abrasion on her eye, and he immediately drove from Ames to the Ankeny clinic to exam it. Thank you so much, Dr. Romsdahl! We appreciate you going out of your way to help us!

Dr. Eric was very professional and informative. He took his time to address all my questions and concerns- and I had a LOT of questions and concerns since I have not had an eye exam or worn lenses in years. The exam was thorough and he patiently explained everything he was doing and why. The receptionist was friendly and professional too. The lobby was clean and comfortable.
Dr. Romsdahl got me in and out quickly, the staff was friendly and the process of getting contacts or glasses seems way more streamlined than any eye clinic I have been to previously. I also found it to be more affordable than the place I went previously.
My son came home from school today with a red and inflamed eye complaining of pain. Dr. Romsdahl squeezed us in and took a small splinter off of the inside of my son's eyelid. My son is very dramatic, but Dr. R was very patient and explained everything he was doing. We are very appreciative of the time he took to help us out! Most offices wouldn't squeeze a patient in within 15 minutes. Thank you, Dr. Romsdahl and your staff!
