I had a very negative experience with therapist. She gave me dangerous advice telling me to use a blunt and confrontational approach with my suicidal child that only made things worse instead of helping us she was dismissive of me as a parent claiming I had brain fog and blaming me for communication issues that didn't exist. Her methods created more conflict between me and my daughter rather than helping her heal. I would not trust her with a child in crisis.

I recommend the Child & Family Guidance Center. I used to bring my child here every week. It was well organized from day 1 during the intake meeting and my child connected with her therapist. She’s really come a long way since the summer. My only complaint is there really needs to be some more diversity in their administration. There should be different individuals from various cultures employed here - not only if you “habla espanol.” My child is no longer attending but I would strongly recommend they make some adjustments t... read more

I contacted this facility because I was referred by my child's school. I called in January and I received a call back on Feb 1, 2023. They sent an email same day so I can attached all the necessary documents. It was done. Since then no one has contacted me via telephone nor email. This is very disappointing! If this is their process, I can't imagine the type counseling, etc... when it comes to emergency situations. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY.
