Formerly known as the Southern Pacific Depot, the Chico Amtrak Station is a station used by the passengers who travel through railroad. Featuring public restrooms, waiting rooms that are enclosed, public pay phones, free parking areas, etc. the station consisted of 30 passengers daily. Currently the station also houses the Chico Art Center which helps the community in preserving the art of the society.

Dirty bus/train station with a singular bench to sit and wait, in a super seedy area. No sign of security mentioned in other reviews. Station building is non operational. Certainly would not be safe for an individual traveling alone.
I like this train station because you can take a railroad all the way to seattle or even san fransico
You know when it's 4am and you and a few dozen people on the train are trying to sleep.... This station needs to shut off the damn bells for the 15 min the train is sitting here..... Worst station on the entire coast starlight route.
These "people" gave me a single day notice before cancelling my train to go back for the holidays.
