Chicago's Chicken and Waffles is great if you are looking for a soul food and breakfast combination. I tried the cat fish dinner and I loved it. Huge portions, steak size portions of fish, nice size waffles, and just the right amount of sides. The service is nice and friendly.
I just want to say I'm NOT a fan of chicken & waffles but I've gone to this place for their breakfast & it's excellent. The food was great, the service was even better & the ambiance was beautiful. I visited the one out south & I just would choose this one in oak park ANYDAY. The cashier wasn't as friendly as everyone else but everything else made up for her lack of smiling & greeting. Five stars across the board.
