After an awful travel experience and issue with a reservation at the Hilton Garden, my family limped over to the Le Meridian Essex desperate for a room and some sleep. Pat, who was meant to be focused on accounting as the night auditor, went above and beyond to help us out. I am so grateful for his kindness, patience, and thoughtfulness. He completely turned around the trip for us. Thank you, Pat.

What started as an awful experience quickly turned into an amazing one thanks to a front desk employee named Sam and the concierge, James. Somehow, our reservation didn’t include our first night at the hotel. I was panicked since I had booked 4–5 months in advance and had verified the reservation multiple times. Here's a revised review based on yours: "Stayed at Le Méridien Essex - a charming boutique hotel. Rooms are compact but lovely, and the gym is a standout! ♂️ Staff are super friendly. The only catch is they don’t have there own restaurant (breakfast costs extra) and no executive lounge. Overall, good value for the price and location "
