Dr Castillo was on the team of doctors helping me when I had 2 abdominal surgeries back to back, and he was great. But I'm supposed to follow up with him after 3 weeks in the hospital, and the office will not answer the phone or return my calls. Consultation before my colonoscopy with main nurse and staff was really stressful.
Horrible experience. I truly believe I would’ve died if this man waited any longer to transfer me to UChicago Medicine to experts who know what they’re doing. Dude couldn’t look past himself and was more concerned about his ego taking a hit. His bedside manner is horrendous and multiple nurses confided in me saying, “that’s just how he is.” He even said himself that he’s not good at having patience. Which is absurd. Impossible to get anyone to answer the phone or to get a call back
It’s a shame that one of my parents was forced to go here because of a referral she received. Your phone calls go unanswered and voicemails un responded to. True lack of professionalism within this office.
