I lived in a CAP owned property for three years. There is a rat infestation in the backyard of the unit, and little was done to address it. There were numerous issues with trash collection timeliness which led to the rat infestation, which had now grown to cover the entire backyard (burrow holes all over the yard, rats constantly in the trash cans, hearing them fight at night). First time renting and I am glad I went with Chicago Apartment Place; Everything has been so smooth, they respond super quickly, and try to address any concerns in a timely manner. However, upon moving out our unit was not getting renewed by potential renters; Chicago Apartment Place conducted an inspection and called our move-out boxes "garbage" and were told with 3 weeks left in our lease to get rid of it immediately. I am definitely disappointed, considering up until this point I was going to leave a positive review.
The place is good, neat and comfortable to stay with. Accessible to CTA transits. Easy access to laundry service. I also feel safe inside and as well as walking around tge neighborhood.
Service requests take more than one day at times. Apartment was also a bit dirty upon move-in. Other than that, clear communication, clear expectations, and always keeping tenants updated on important information.
The Place is very much perfect especially if you're new to the city. It's like plug n' play type, as easy as that.
