I have been here more than once to watch my food prepared over the hot table by great entertaining chef's. I love when they make the volcano using onions pile high and flip food on top of their chef hats. I also like the carry-out food portion of service as well. All of the food I have ordered was very good and I'll continue to dine there. Maybe next time I'll take pictures to show you.

They sit you at another table if you are sitting there too long. It is just a small place and they have many people waiting to be served as the food IS THAT Good! If anyone was being disrespectful, it was you, for taking so long -- just sitting around after you all ate some of the best food anywhere. They do not use too much butter, just enough to season the food, but you can always ask them not to use any butter, and they will follow your wishes. Don't Support Disrepectful Restaurants – Save yourself money and time. This place has horrible service! We were there for a birthday dinner and were sat at the Hibachi grill. Once the food was ate, they came out and told us they had a special place to seat us for the birthday cake. However, that was a lie. Chi Tung is Grotesquely Overrated – Chi Tung is one of those places locals rave about but which doesn't actually earn its reputation for the experienced diner. This is the most grotesquely overrated restaurant I've ever been to (and I've given it more than one chance to prove itself). Delish Best Sliced Chicken with Hot Peppers, Crab Rangoon, Orange Chicken you name it they have it and it will probabley top any other chinese food you have had in the past! Love the 6 dollar buffett for lunch! The interior is very nice, wait staff very friendly, i have never had a bad experience here! Only bad experience is the wait sometimes for a table!

IT'S D' BEST!!!!! SIMPLY THE BEST!!!!! – DID I SAY THE BEST? They are very busy simply because people who continually discovers this joint are here. Excellent Food, Service and Price!!! If you're willing to wait for great food... – If you live in the North side of Chicago it's easy to find a Chinese, Thai or Japanese restaurant but if you're in the South side of Chicago it isn't. Everyone knows about this restaurant especially if you're from the South side, I guess that's why it gets full and waiting can be up to an hour. The food was alright. But the flavor was a little off there. I miss the old owners. The food was really good back then when they had diffrent owners. Personally, I think they rush since there are so many people ordering. But even though they rush, I still get my food late. The thing is, I don't think it is worth it now. And I think it's getting a lot e xpensive. Drop the price and bring back the flavor! Then you will have a good place.
