CHI ER is by far one of the absolute worst emergency rooms I think I've ever been in. I've been dealing with issues regarding either my gallbladder or my appendix, and my mother and I arrived at 6:00 and stayed until 2 a.m. with no update and no results. I had to undergo an ultrasound and a CT scan. I had a very disappointing experience at CHI St. Vincent. I recently traveled from Washington to Arkansas while dealing with a spinal cord injury and had been prescribed Suboxone as part of my treatment plan. Unfortunately, I had been without my medication for two days and had been unable to obtain a refill anywhere else, so I was advised to go to the ER for help. Under the EMTLA, the arrogant ER doctor failed to provide a medical screening exam, which could potentially lead to legal action. This hospital should distance themselves as soon as possible from the doctor working on 3/16 at 3:00pm. I called the hospital’s main number to discuss this but the switchboard never answered. Called patient relations, but no answer.

If I could give no stars I would. I was there end of January this year. I came on for the flu a few days before and I was good. Had to come back a couple days later because I’d been awake UNABLE to get a deep breath which made me have a prolonged panic attack. When I got to the er they took blood and I was in the waiting room which was essentially empty for over an hour and a half. I’m not one to usually go to the ER, but after experiencing pain, for almost two months, that was preventing me from sleeping, I forced myself to go this evening to try to get some answers and some relief.
