Easily the best spot for a romantic date – Everything at Chez Shea sets you up for that perfect romantic evening. There's a cozy bar out front for that before dinner drink...a snug table for two along the window banquet...the intimate lighting and decor...and the food! Of note, the price fixed meals encourage conversation about each other rather than the menu!
Very good, but not great – Chez Shea has the feeling (and reputation) of a restaurant utterly confident of its place at the top of the list. But it's not entirely deserved. The food is very good but not the best in Seattle. Prices are high, yet the decor is quite plain, beyond rustic -- I don't agree that it's particularly romantic, unlike the connected Shea's Lounge which is. Service is professional but rather curt.
