For about $600, I thought I would be getting a half decent home inspection. Sure he pointed out that the water temperature was too hot, the water heater might not be HUD certified, little things like that. Never saw or even looked to see the furnace leaking tons of oil, no ground rod connection, improperly bonded panel, 200amp service mains laying in puddles of water, every switched outlet wired improperly, cinder blocks on pillars installed sideways, most of which don't even touch the frame. I hired Edwin Dunckley of Chester County Home Inspections to inspect both the home and the pool. The house was in good condition, but Edwin uncovered serious issues with the pool that saved me from a very costly mistake. He found a persistent leak caused by a crack running around the bottom perimeter of the pool.
