I recently hosted a memorial luncheon at Chessie's and found the staff and space to both be excellent. Ron, the banquet manager, understands that funerals can be a moving target and he was great to work with. When we got there, we were very pleased with the set up of the room and the quality of the food and service. We ordered the Chicken Picatta and the Salmon - both were delicious.
Excellent menu good service and a fun atmosphere. Portions are outstanding and very delicious. However many people have poor manners & talk to loud thinking they are in their own private dining car.
We enjoyed sitting in the train car to eat dinner. The nacho appetizer was generous, colorful & tasty. Boys enjoyed the "Tuesday special" price hamburger, with an addition of generous & delicious blue cheese spread. The oriental sesame dressing on my salad was yummy. Pasta dish probably bit over priced for what it was & water glasses could have been filled more w/o having to request but overall a very nice experience. We had a most excellent anniversary/ pre-Christmas dinner at Chessie’s Saturday. The prime rib was superb and the service outstanding! We will be back again soon!
We had a funeral luncheon and the food and service was excellent for 40 people!
