Military families don’t come here. I passed out hit my head got a laceration and needed my husband to come off deployment with Red Cross so our small daughter would have someone to care for her. The nurses told the Red Cross I wasn’t emergent enough. Mind you I can’t drive for 6months legally and can’t cook because I passed out while cooking. I spent over 12hrs here and I asked for water several times and no one allowed me to have or brought me a meal. I had to keep asking for nausea medicine and the doctor was telling nurse... read more
Absolutely the worst experience ever! After spending 10 hours in the ER with my daughter for a broken wrist, I end up getting billed twice for the same vist, one from the hospital and then one from the doctors. Never experienced this before in my life and I’ve gone to Sentara and CHKD ER’s. Not only did we get billed twice for the same visit, we were charged far more than I’ve ever been charged before.
I'm on medicaid, and I'm too sick to work. My abdominal in the corner feels like its about to explode from a massively excessive amount of pain, not a single care to give from these guys. The only way I can get help is through the ER or URGENT CARE. Because its "better health" I'm already too sick get around. And regular doctors offices don't want to accept it and this hospital is no different.They're avoiding honoring the legal agreements with the state for funding.
