RecommendedIt's worth the 3 hour +/- drive from Northern Virginia to visit the Museum. Recommend it as a perfect day trip.
RecommendedThe nations only Railroad Historical Society that has an extensive archives, a museum of rolling stock and a heritage center with a major collection of the historical pieces from its Railroad. No other Railroad Historical Society has been able to compile what the C&O HS has done. It’s a must be a part of and see for any railroad or history buff.

RecommendedGreat information, they occasionally have models of C&O equipment available only though them and they are very responsive to requests. The photos and drawings they have are extensive. Also, nice people.
