They have no idea what they are doing. I called them the first time because we filled a claim on their website and they said they have no record of the claim even though we had the confirmation email it was submitted. They had no idea what happened and asked me to refile. So a 5 months pass a we had to fill a death claim for our dog passing away and we got an email saying it was completed but with no details. Paid 265 dollars for two week travel insurance for cruise trip from Chile to Port Canaveral. Got to Chile and cruise was cancelled. Forced to buy plane tickets home and stay 1 night in hotel, transportation to airport etc, Submitted claim for 3000 dollars with documentation. They paid 300 saying trip was only interrupted . That was insult as it in essence only paid for their worthless policy. Nationwide they are NOT on your side
AWFUL. I submitted a claim for pet insurance reimbursement. They requested additional records and on 3/17/2020 I faxed them what they needed, including the letter that stated I only needed records from 8/1/19 to 3/16/2020. it is now 5/4/2020 and I have not received anything. I called 4 weeks ago to confirm they got it and were processing it and they said they were. I am now on hold with EVONNE and she is trying to tell me then need records from 3/16/2020 to 4/1/2020. I was provided miss information numerous times when attempting to remove a drive, they auto drafted my account for unauthorized amounts without sending written information prior. My experience has been a nightmare.
I had a bad experience with Nationwide recently and wanted to share my experience. I was rear ended by a Nationwide client while driving on an interstate in Southern California (fortunately no one was seriously injured). My brand new vehicle was damaged during the accident and water was filling up my trunk due to the rain season. Nationwide by far is the WORST insurance carrier that I’ve ever had the experience of working with. Not only did they refuse to pay out certain medical benefits when I was in an automobile accident they raised my own pricing when I was not at fault somebody hit me from behind but they raised the pricing of my insurance. If I could give them a zero I would! I have a truck that has a lien on it my boyfriend was driving and covering on his policy. He wrecked the truck and they wrote him a check for over $5400 he has since left, my truck is in the body shop with these damages and he's sitting with $5480 that was suppose to be to fix my truck that has a lien on it. And I can't get any answers from Nationwide, I've called everyone I've been told to call and no one has answers as to why he received the check and not the body shop

I have Nationwide pet insurance policies for both my dog and my cat. I submitted a claim for my cat on February 27. Nationwide denied the claim, requesting additional medical records, on March 4. I supplied the additional records on March 4. On or around March 6, I called Nationwide to confirm that they had received the additional records. If you ever need life insurance for yourself or loved ones please look elsewhere . In my 40 years in customer service I’ve never came across company that has representatives so il -mannerd, insolent, discourteous and completely detached to the job that they are supposed to do. There are so many Life Insurance companies around that have strong business ethics and integrity. This is not the one and it does not deserves your business.
