Agreed, 7 1/2 years in this place. Everything broke the first year we lived here. Heater caught on fire in the middle of the night, how scary is that. The AC broke in the summer not to long after. The Balcony Fell apart landed on my husbands car damaging it, thank god for insurance. As long as we were tents, never replaced the carpet after 5 years a requirement, never changed the filters for good air flow. Over the years that I have rented from Cherokee Properties, I have been overly satisfied with everything!
If I could do lower rating I would they claim to help people with less than perfect credit but that's a flat out lie they wasted my time and money on an application was very disappointed
I wouldn't give any stars If I had to, this company is purposeful in a racket to take you to court to get money from you after you move out. They have no intentions to give deposits back, and what's more are liars lie under oath. Kevin the owner lied to the judge about several things. if i had to choose they wouldn't get any stars they are nothing but a bunch of liars law breakers and slum lords they broke the law by coming up in the apartment with out giving me a 24 hour notice and told me that it was in the least and that they can do that but when we were in court they lied and told the judge that they gave me a 24 hour notice but they had no proof i felt violated not only that i had to pay a 25 dollar application fee for a background check, when background checks are only 8 dollars they approved me and... read more
This place is really terrible. One apartment I lived in had "pets" and i do mean bugs. I've complained and everything along with my neighbors and they did nothing. We are always in court for every little thing. I did no damage to the apartment and I see why my friends told me not to go there, but it was the only thing open at the time and now i deeply regret it. I hope other students don't make the same mistake i did
This company has moderately ok properties but EVERY single person that I know that has rented from these people have ended up in court. The office staff has NO POWER and anything they say is a lie. Kevin and I believe her name is Linda are the owners and they spend hours every week in court, going after people that have lived in their properties. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE people.
