I love what cherokee is doing in the community with the movie night and breast cancer night. Awesome guys. Keep on keepin on.
I love the cemetery but the movie night is just Wrong! How can you even consider having a movie night after all the vandalism we have had last November in which we were stuck will the bill to replace our loved ones vases. Which are not cheap. This is disrespectful to our loved ones and families. And to top it off you want to lock us out from visiting after 4:30 with gates to see our loved ones but you will hold a movie night with people who don't even have loved ones here. Thank you for your comments, Amy. Many people planning on attending our movie night do have loved ones here, and we will have added security to protect the graves, which will be closed to visitors so attendees can respect those at rest. We appreciate your feedback.
As a mother who comes to Cherokee to visit her daughter I love that they are doing a family event. We will be attending and telling our children we are going to a movie with their sister Clara. They have been so amazing and supportive in the loss of our daughter and I love that they want to make a positive community impact. Cemeteries aren't scary places but quite beautiful and it's a great way to get people out there and a great way to honor those that rest there.
