When my daughter was born in April 2011, Dr. Cheek was the on call pediatric physician. My daughter was born 4 weeks early and had to go into the NICU immediatley after being born where she had to be recessitated and placed on a breathing machine. Dr. Cheek came in every day that she was in the NICU to check on her and was always 100% honest about her health's progression. He always let us know what needed to be done to help her get better. We have since moved but if I am back in Canton, she will definitely go back to him.
My son was born at N. Side Cherokee and Dr. Cheek was the Dr. on staff when he was born. After Eli was born we were trying to feed him and he turned blue, he wasn't breathing & he was just blue all over. The nurses and Dr's wisked him away and took him to the on staff Ped. I was so scared and said many prayers. Dr. Cheek was great he found that Eli had some reflux and he was on medacine for it for about 6-8 months and then, he was o.k. to go w/ out them.
