The practice is wonderful. They really listen to you and answer all of your questions.
I’ve been going to Cherokee Internal Medicine (Dr. Akamatsu) for about 10 years. Even though I now live in Atlanta, I still make the drive to continue receiving care here. Dr. Akamatsu has always been extremely attentive and reassuring. After one time fainting during a blood draw, she has since always ensured that the phlebotomist comes to my room to take my blood while I lie down and offers liquids. This is an incredible team and I believe it comes from the leadership of Dr Akamatsu. They are thorough, compassionate and act with a sense of commitment and urgency. Tiffanae is on staff, she checked in with me every week my uncle was hospitalized or in rehab. She also checked on my aunt even though she wasn’t a patient. These are caring, trustworthy professionals. Upon the passing of my uncle and aunt, I received a sympathy card signed by every member of the staff. This act of kindness meant the world.
