The service – One of the waitress is very impolite and she was always reading newspaper and ignore customers. We all have to call her so many times.

good taste restaurant in or – This is a Chinese restaurant whose name is Good Taste. It is in Portland?s China Town and it has a good location. Good Taste is very old in the China Town, so the building?s exterior is outdated. How did I find this restaurant? When I came here, the other international students took me to this restaurant; that was my first time to eat. Last weekend, I with other people missed our country?s food, and we went there. This restaurant sells Cantonese dishes. The Canton famous dish is roast duck, but ... read more

Delicious Dive – I love Good Taste. A friend from Beijing first took me there in the mid 1990's. Not much has changed since then except that I used to be the only person in there who wasn't Chinese. Now there are almost as many Americans that eat there. I guess we're becoming a more adventurous bunch of eaters in Portland. Anyway, the Peking Duck (not always available, so call if you must have duck) is really excellent. The rest of the food is dang good too. There are ducks and other assorted roasted meats hanging in the win... read more

Authentic Chinese, GREAT meats – Like the other reviewers have said, you need not go further than this review if you are expecting a restaurant where black tie waiters serve you chilled glasses of water with lemon. However, if you want a 'hole in the wall,' AUTHENTIC, Chinese restaurant... well my friends, you have met your match. The prices here are dumbfounding. I'm a PSU student and I scurry down to Good Taste because the quality and value outweighs anything you can find S. of Burnside. Yes, as other reviewers have stated... read more

If you love olive garden, panda, and typhoon - stay away – This place is for people who really know what authentic, good food is about. Dingy looking, small and plain - but there is a reason it is frequently packed: with Asian people. Famous for roast duck, also try the roast pork (cha szu), roast crispy pork, house special chow mein, beef chow fun(Dry version), seasonal veg in ginger and green onion. If you know hong kong/canton - this is the street vendor you've been craving

The best Chinese food in town – I?ve eating at this restaurant for over 10 years while I live in Portland and I never get tired of it. They provide excellent food quality at very low price. Now I live in 3 hours away from Portland, and my first stop in the town is Good Taste Restaurant. Duck Wonton Noodle Soup is one of my favorite.

Cheap and good – Classic hole-in-the-wall Chinese complete with ducks hanging in the window. The Won Ton soup and Chow Fun shrimp noodles were both very good. Curious as to why these places always have non-expressive bland service?

Hong Kong in Portland – Don't expect fine dining, wonderful ambience, or even great service. Do expect a hole in the wall that looks like it came from an alley in Hong Kong. You can find a cheap but authentic Chinese meal. Stick to the basics: wonton soup (some of the best in PDX), green beans, or roasted duck, and you'll enjoy it!

great place – The food is great and cheap. We're not talking about eating at PCG here so if you don't like a hole in the wall eatery, don't come here (in fact keep your snotty self away). People who rag on small places like this just don't understand what good food is, you don't have to spend $20+ to have a good meal....
