Fat Shaming! After several weeks of loyalty, Dr. Chen put me on the scale and then tried to sell me shapewear. I guess I was too fat for him? Fat shaming is a deeply traumatic and unsupportive of health for anyone. I am definitely not returning to this place. Seeking out a TCM practitioner that understands how harmful fat phobia can be.

I am an acupuncturist myself, (pretty picky actually) and I absolutely recommend Dr. Chen and his massage therapist Jenny. She does Tui Na (Chinese medical massage) and the acupuncture/massage combo is wonderful. There is a bit of a language barrier at times but the quality of care is outstanding. Basically, don’t expect small talk. Explain your #1 or #2 (or 3) health concerns and then relax. He can treat pain as well as internal medicine issues. I didn't know that my co-pay gonna be that high even though I asked for the price before I went in for treatment. The communication between the doctor and the front lady wasn't clear and didn't tell me the step by step of what's going to happen. I did have a good nap but the worst of all is when the treatment was done I was putting on my shirt I felt needles still stuck on my back and I have to pull two needle out myself. And I thought to myself why would the doctor feeling for the needle to take out?.. Can he not see where ... read more
