Super good local restaurant in El Segundo, Cheff Hanes has a variety of foods from great daily soups, pastas, fish and meat. Everything has his special made sauces and it tastes really good. Wine and beer selection is good too. Kind and attentive staff, cozy atmosphere. Two dining rooms, outside patio and accommodations for bigger parties. Must visit!
Zero seating outside: all tables taken with seniors playing cards. Nobody inside the restaurant. One of our chairs had a dirty tablecloth. (The place would benefit from thorough cleaning.) Food was average at best. We expected better because of the prices listed. Seeing fresh strudel getting picked up by a customer we ordered a slice. Instead of fresh, it was a microwaved mess with old custard[?]. Not likely to return.
Great seafood Gumbo
Quite the awesome treasure of a restaurant. Long time favorite.
