Best Pizza in Berkeley (except for maybe Zachary's) Their pizza is awesome. It changes everyday and is always vegetarian. Be prepared to wait. While the line moves quickly, there's always a line. There's seating, but it's almost always occupied. While illegal, the median on Shattuck offers some additional pizza eating space, but that too is oft crowded. It's definitely worth it. A true Berkeley institution.

Perhaps the best thing about Berkeley Get this: the place only sells one kind of pizza at a time. And it's always a veggie pizza, no meat options. Parking is a royal pain. And they have the weirdest hours of all time -- open a net total of 4 hours a day, and closed on a weekday or two. Makes ya wonder, "Are they that lazy or are they that good?" They're that good. Best. Pizza. Ever. Okay I might be exaggerating, but it's definitely up there. Cheeseboard is unique because they only have one type of pizza every day. This might be bad news for people who like specific kinds of pizza. However this is usually not an issue because the pizza is almost always GREAT. Yummy! I have had cheese board pizza many times and have never been disappointed. The crust is wonderful (which is one of my favorite parts) and the toppings are so fresh and flavorful. YUMMY!
Vegetarian Pizza This pizza joint is pretty unique. It offers one type pizza a day and it is all vegetarian all the time. You have to buy by the slice, which can get a little pricey if you are buying for a whole lot of people. Also the line can get long if you are waiting for fresh pizza, so be prepared to wait. But the food is worth it!

My mouth is watering... This place opened up a whole new world of pizza for me. I never knew pizza could come with so many other kinds of pizza. It may seem really crowded, but don't worry, the line is fast. I actually like that it offers only one type of pizza a day because I'm an indecisive person, and there isn't really a bad pizza here.
