The service was terrible. We ordered the chips and quest appetizer. Our waitress asked if we’d like beef on it and we said no. We ordered our meals and waited. And waited. We never received our appetizer. When she brought our food, we told her we didn’t get the appetizer. She said “do you still want it? I didn’t put it in yet so if you don’t want it that’s fine”. I love this place. The food and service is great, and the prices are very affordable! I've only ever gotten one thing from here that i didn't like. That was the Country Fried Steak. Everything is else is great. Especially the cornmeal fried fish.

I'm giving 2 stars only because our first experience was amazing. The 2nd tonight was extremely disappointing. We arrived a little before 5 and it wasn't busy. We sat pretty fast but it took over a hour to be served our meal after ordering. This would have been ok had we not seen 4 tables that came in at least a half hour after us be served dinner. We go there about 2 times a month and the service is always good and the food. We decided to go on Easter around 7:00 p.m.. We ordered drinks and I asked for napkins. Then ordered our food. When the food came I had to ask again for napkins, then we got them. He never asked if our food was okay! Then he was cleaning another table off and walked by and dropped the plates! I don’t know where to start. We ordered our food and everything was okay until the food arrived. I ordered a burger which had a strand of long hair embedded to the burger meat. When I bit on it I felt the hair pull out the burger automatically! It was the most disgusting thing ever! My daughter’s chicken tenders were gross and tasted like cardboard. We used to enjoy getting food from here, however after the incident on Saturday we won’t be going back. We ordered to go food for lunch on Saturday, and they told me it would be ready in 10-15 minutes. We arrived to pick up the order 15 minutes after the order was placed, stood at the bar for nearly 5-6 minutes until someone finally said “can I help you”? This was my our trip to Cheddar's. It was recommended by a friend of a friend. Needless to say the food is excellent. The server we had named Lucy I believe have us excellent service. The prices on their dishes are ridiculously reasonable. Even though it was a 45 min to an hour drive it was well worth the trip. We got there at the perfect time to be seated. An hour later would have been a wait. I do plan to frequent.
