A Greek Revival-style mansion now open to the public, the Chatillon-DeMenil house dates to 1849, when the first portion was built for Henri Chatillon, a hunter and guide with Francis Parkman's Oregon Trail expedition. Sold to the DeMenil family a few years later, it was soon enlarged and transformed into the current Greek Revival form. We had our wedding reception at the Chatillion DeMenil mansion and carriage in September and everyone loved it. It is a naturally beautiful space that didn't require much decorating which was fantastic. The grounds were beautiful and there were a number of great locations to take photos both formally and informally. The team was very helpful and easy to work with, we'd highly recommend using them for your next event!
We just had our wedding at the Chatillon-DeMenil Mansion on Saturday and we could not have been more pleased with the way things turned out. The space itself is beautiful and encompasses so much of the history of a city so dear to our hearts. We can't wait to return for a tour with family and friends who didn't get the opportunity to explore the inside of the mansion and learn about its unique history. A huge thank you to Andrew and Curtis, who were both an absolute pleasure to work with!
