We stayed here for one night during a business trip. This is our go-to place when visiting the Hunter Valley, as the hospitality is always exceptional and the property is set amongst beautiful natural surroundings. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and well-equipped for both short and longer stays, and the staff are consistently friendly and helpful. While we did not get the chance to use the pool, gym or other facilities during this visit, they looked spacious and well maintained, and we would love to try them next time. ... read more
The rooms were clean and cosy, we also got upgraded for no extra charge! Will definitely be returning.
Mostly well presented and a beautiful place. In the room and public areas the carpet, lounges and seats were stained and needed a good shampoo &/or steam clean.
A smile costs nothing! However, it can mean the difference between either feeling welcome or feeling estranged. We have just experienced the most memorable couple of days at the Chateau Elan resort! The management at Chateau Elan has pleasingly focused on the professionalism, warmth and congeniality of staff. They effectively helped us add another very important thread to our family tapestry buy making all of us feel like our stay was home away from home. I’ll start off with the positives - great view backing onto the golf course - lots of wildlife- kangaroos and birds - buffet breakfast was decent The bad: - fireplace did not light - was charged $80 (6 drinks) after checkout for using things in the mini bar when we has used nothing. Contacted them and received a refund for this mistake. Check your account the day after you check out for any false charges. - whole place is very tired and in desperate need of renovation, no longer reflecting a 5 star hotel. - bed was very worn... read more
