My mom with Parkinson's lived at Chateau for 6 months. They use drugs to control some of the residents. But the staff does their best. If you have a loved one there and care just be sure to homework the value of pumping people with a myriad of drugs.
This place sucks. They run it like a prison. I unfortunately spent a short time there and I Left. The thing is, they have small fridges and microwaves but they wouldn't let me take food back to my room. They had me under their microscope the whole time I was there. The women in charge have massive make up on their faces, you feel like you've walked into a Brothel in Nevada. Do yourself a favor and not stay there. If you hate your family send them there.
This is the worst place to take your loved one!! They do not pay attention to them so they can't communicate their needs to you. They allowed my mother to go into heart failure due to fluid build up and they never even noticed. She is diabetic, they couldn't understand her prescription so they threw it away and let her go without diabetes medication and watched her blood sugar rise and didn't bother to say anything until it reached 376. The rooms are dirty they don't clean them. Do not use this facility!
