Thinking back to the time I went to the bank to open a Sapphire Reserve credit card. I had Sapphire Preferred at the time and I tried to downgrade to a Freedom card. The woman here was adamant that I could not downgrade my Sapphire Preferred card to a freedom card. We went back and forth on this. This is false. She convinced me to close the account and there was no other option. I had talked to multiple people that were able to do this. Sucks I missed out on building my credit more.
