I live in the apartment beside the retirement home but we are all welcome next door to any of the programs going on daily, such as exercise, movies, music entertainment. People are mostly all very friendly and look out for each other. My apartment (one bedroom) is perfect for me and my little dog.
The Chartwell staff at the Bankside Dr location hosted one of their best events. A Valentine lunch required 2 settings. The excellent array of food on each plate included pancakes impeded with chocolate chips, scrammed eggs, sizzeling bacon grilled potatoe wedges, delicious pork sausage covered with a strawberry sauce. We cannot express our appreciation and support to all the staff at Chartwell’s Bankside Retirement Residence not only for my Mom but us as well. Honestly it was one of the hardest decision we had to make but the best thing for her, which is all that matters. The staff are “angels on this earth” and Bankside has the best!
My mother has been a resident for over 7 years and from day-one, it’s been a tremendous experience for her. All the staff have gone above and beyond our expectations in terms of their care, compassion and enthusiasm.
