We thought this tour was well worth it with John our guide was awesome and very knowledgeable on the history and overall story of the site . The informative hologram & audio visual set into the existing framework works brilliantly . One of the best things to do in town that’s for sure .
A very interesting tour which highlighted the gold mining history delivered in a variety of engaging formats. I would highly recommend for all visitors.
John is knowledgeable and entertaining as a guide. The tour is slowly paced with the groups being kept to a manageable size so everyone can hear without the use of a microphone. Some cool optics area also used dieting the tour. It's worth doing the Gold pass to experience panning at the end of the tour. Amazing well preserved history. Great family activity
Amazing tour with John! So much to see and well explained. We loved every little bit of it! Recommend We also did the gold panning with Josh and this was top notch. We even came away with a bit of gold. Thanks John and Josh for sharing your knowledge and passion with us and making time and accommodating us! It took a bit to find out some information about the place. There's a website available. It's run by the Australian Historical society. The tour is run Wednesday and Saturday at 10.00 a.m. summertime, unsure about winter. We didn't book. They were good enough to run a special session for us ,which we were grateful for. The Tour guide, John, was very informative about how the battery works and very helpful when it came to panning for gold. We were allowed to keep the gold.
